SPJRD ISSUE RELEASE
The latest issue of the Southeastern Philippines Journal of Research and Development (SPJRD), Volume 31, No. 1 (March 2026), is officially released and available online!
This marks the first issue of SPJRD’s 31st publication volume, featuring multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed research articles that address Mindanao and Southeast Asian cultural, social, environmental, and developmental issues. Out of 349 submissions, only 12 articles representing Azerbaijan, Malta, Malaysia, the United States, Indonesia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Pakistan, and the Philippines were selected for this edition.
These academic works prompt discourse on giving surawa (voice) to the Muslims and Indigenous Peoples in the Philippines to be part of the broader conversation, alongside themes of transformative leadership, traditional dance as living history, and inclusive digital practices for the T’boli and Obu Manuvu. By synthesizing humanistic education, multicultural nationalism, and AI integration, the volume bridges ancestral tradition with modern innovation. Additionally, research on sustainable agriculture and healthcare equity ensures the journal remains a vital space for honoring the diverse narratives of Mindanao and the ASEAN region.
